The Basalt eye to eye friction hitch features 100% American made Technora. Technora is a type of aramid fiber that combines high strength and heat resistance. These features make the Basalt eye to eye a perfect friction hitch for saddle hunting ropes. The 3/16 is suitable for lifelines including tethers, rappel ropes, and bridges. The 3/16 can be used with 8mm-11.4mm ropes. The 1/8 eye to eye is a good choice for micro diameter ropes ranging from 5mm-6mm and is the ideal replacement for the FeatherLite Lineman's Rope. The Basalt IS the ideal choice for the WLR Hitch.
 
NOTE This hitch is a 12 stand hollow braid rope featuring a brummel locked spliced. It is common for the buried portion to poke through the braid where the taper ends.
 
1/8 Technora has an ABS of 2,900 pounds.
3/16 Technora has an ABS of 5,700 pounds.
