To prolong the life of your aider, file/remove any sharp edges or burrs that come in contact with rope.

Brand new to saddle hunting this year and thought I would try one sticking. Went out the first time without an aider on my stick. I was worn out by the time I got to hunting height. Moved the stick 6 times and was only 15ft off the ground. Then I talked to a guy who used Wild-line ropes aider and decided to give it a try. Easy to install and very lightweight. The carbon fiber steps make it so easy to get your boot in the step. With the 18in. double fixed aider I made 4 moves and was 25ft high.
