Featherlite Linemans Rope
  • Featherlite Linemans Rope

Rating is 4.8 out of five stars based on 12 reviews

The featherlite linemans rope is in a class of its own. The climb rated Back Up Line by Beal is rugged yet lightweight. What makes this linemans rope possible is the fact that you can use it one handed to adjust. Yep! no pricey hand ascenders needed. The WLR friction hitch is small, compact, and clean. Giving you everything you want from a friction hitch with hardly any weight or bulk added. As of 9/23/22 the Featherlite linemans ropes features a 1/8" Technora friction hitch.

        Little dissapointed

Put the Linemans belt to use hanging stands and didnt have any luck getting the knot to slide with one handed use when adjusting the length. This is the main reason I bought this model as its advertised as easy one handed adjustment? Maybe im doing something wrong? Is there a secret?

        Lineman’s belt

        Message

I recently purchased a lineman’s belt for the lightweight and one handed (slide) operation that you advertised with this knot. I can’t get the knot to slide at all with one hand once a little bit of pressure has been applied and then released. It appears to lock down just like my standard Prussic knots do?? I have to use 2 hands to straighten the open and pull the knot to get it to move??

If the hitch is locking up it may need to be massaged to add a little slack to the hitch. Grab the hitch and bend it back and forth a bit until it slides free easier. If that doesn't work or you are not sure what I mean just let me know.

        Game Changer!

I’m a long time user of 11mm saddle ropes and ropeman one ascenders. I then swapped to smaller diameter ropes and kong ducks. These featherlite ropes blow them all out of the water! No need for mechanical devices anymore. 1/3 of the size and true one handed operation. Top quality carabiners as well! My only regret is not buying them sooner!

Really impressed with how small this setup is compared to my previous. I’m able to condense all my saddle hunting essentials into one pouch which leaves my second for nothing but miscellaneous items (scents, rattle bag, grunt call, etc). Have only made a few climbs with it so I can’t speak on durability but I don’t see that being an issue.

        Just what the doctor ordered

This is exactly what I was looking for to streamline my mobile setup! I have been mobile for 5 plus years now and continually try and reduce my weight/bulk for my style of hunting. (Still/slip hunting to areas then setting up). It offer functionality while not taking up near to anything for space/weight. I am excited to see what other stuff Wild Line Ropes has cooking.

Just tried it on a tree, not hunted with it yet. The knot is easy to push and pull for now. Not sure yet about the long haul but hope it stays easy because I like it a lot. Looking for a compact pouch for my saddle to stuff this in. It can pack really small.

We're glad you like it! After use over time, the WLR hitch may lose slack, causing it to become difficult to move. We do have a fix for that! If you feel it becoming difficult to move, try massaging the wrapped portion of the hitch to work slack in. If it does get too difficult to move, retying the hitch will fix the problem. This video has instructions for retying the hitch https://youtu.be/HQfD1Y6MO8M?si=sYbpz72gm4gBgspv
